Great design doesn't happen in a silo, and I believe in elevating the people around me. I regularly design and lead interactive Figma shareouts for my team to foster a culture of continuous learning.
Whether I’m showing developers the power of Figma's MCP for near-instand front end design or teaching an operations team how they can design customer journey flows in FigJam, my goal is to make the highly technical feel approachable. There is nothing better than breaking down a barrier and watching that "aha!" moment when a teammate gains the confidence to use a new tool that will multiply their outcomes.
THE PROBLEM
ZiFi is a startup, an all-digital bank built for small businesses, and after many months of work, we were ready to enter the market.
But ZiFi had a problem: a few short weeks before launching, we discovered serious security vulnerabilities in our account opening tool. It was a product provided by a vendor, and in addition to failing several security requirements, it randomly lost customer data.
Our launch was at risk, and the vendor couldn't figure out how to fix the problem. With no time to spare, we decided to take a radical approach: rebuild the entire account opening application in-house and from scratch.
We had sixty days.
